Annual Membership Fees

The annual EFFS membership fee consists of two elements: a fixed basic fee to be paid by all regardless if National Association or individual business. National Associations pay an additional variable proportional amount based on the population of the country they represent (article 6, section 2) of our Constitution.

Types of membership:

• National member: a national association with members from the funeral profession established at a national level with its goal being to organise the interests of the funeral sector at a national level in their country
• Individual member: funeral home, funeral director, funeral company within Europe performing funerals
• Extraordinary member: a funeral director, funeral home, funeral company outside of Europe OR a funeral-related business such as cemetery operators, crematoria, memorial products, online obituaries, etc.

Annual membership fees (from 01.01.2023):

• National Associations: EUR 500 plus additional variable amount
• Individual Members: EUR 500
• Extraordinary Members: EUR 500

Our one-off admission fee for new members, payable upon acceptance of membership application with first invoice, are as follows:

• National members: EUR 100
• Individual members: EUR 500
• Extraordinary members within geographical Europe: EUR 1,000
• Extraordinary members outside geographical Europe: EUR 1,500
