Dear members,

It is with deep regret that I have to inform you that member on the EFFS Board of Management, representing the Finnish national association, Suomen Hautaustoimistojen Liitto r.y., Finland,  Mr. Veli-Matti Jokela, passed away, June 4th.

Since the founding of the EFFS in December 1994, Veli-Matti Jokela was member of the EFFS Board. He attended the Board meetings showing great interest in the work, and he contributed to the various discussion in his quiet and positive way, latest this April at the Lisbon meeting.

Our deepest sympathy goes to Veli-Matti’s family, who has been very supportive to him during the years where he suffered from the severe heart condition, which finally  cost him his life.

The Funeral will take place, June 19th at 2 p.m. in Rovaniemi church.
