B. There are 53 crematoriums in Italy (2008). There are some few (2-3)and old private owened. The rest is pubic owened.
There is not any regulation on a maximum period of time between death and burial/cremation.The funeral ceremonies does usually take place in a church. During the funeral ceremoni the coffin is closed. (It is forbidden with open coffin)
